A BUSINESS support firm has opened their new branch and a food bank in Bury.

Davenports Group’s new office in Badger Street was opened at an official ceremony with the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Jane Black, cutting the ribbon.

Davenports’ owners, Jason and Scott Davenport, recently moved to Bury and fell in love with the borough, deciding to open their new branch in town.

They have also decided to set up and operate a food bank from their centre where residents can drop off food, supplies and spares which will the be distributed with the aid of charities to those in need.

Jason Davenport said: “We are thrilled to partner with a number of charities and give something, however big or small, back to the community.

“Opening another branch here will enable us to showcase ourselves and we will look to become the leading service provider for Bury and beyond.

“Our motto is ‘We’re serious about your business’, we feel our expertise, passion and quality allow us to give extreme value to our customers, we say what we do and we do what we say.”

Davenports was established 15 years ago and specialises in supporting businesses of all sizes, offering services from bookkeeping and tax returns, to web and logo design, printed business cars and banners.

Through their food bank the company is collaborating with three charities including Bury Hospice and Bury Homelessness Project.
