IF gin is your tipple of choice, The Slaughtered House in Bromley Cross is the perfect weekend destination.

The Slaughtered Gin Night, taking place on Saturday from 7pm until 11pm, will host an open bar filled with a variety of gins, tonics and garnishes.

The relaxed and informal evening will feature a gin guide with suggestions of suitable pairings.

Tickets can be purchased at Turton Wines shop or on the website for £15 per person, which includes two 25ml gin measures with tonic and garnishes.

Sight Loss Sports Day

THE QUEEN Anne in Little Lever is hosting an opportunity to play bar sports with a different perspective.

The Queen Anne and the Royal National Institute for Blind People are joining for a Sight Loss Sports Day on Saturday from 3pm.

Participants will get the chance to play dominoes, pool and cards through the eyes of someone with sight loss.

The event will raise money for the RNIB.

Cinema at the Crescent returns

THIS WEEKEND'S Cinema at the Crescent offering is Sheep and Wolves.

The 2016 film stars Jim Cummings, the voice behind Winnie the Pooh, and Harry Potter's Tom Felton.

The screening will take place on Saturday from 2pm until 6pm in Lecture Theatre One at Bolton Central Library and Museum. The event is free with no need to book.

Go on a magic carpet ride

THE VICTORIA Hall Amateur Dramatics Society is holding their annual pantomime on Friday and Saturday in the Lower Theatre at 7.15pm.

The group will be bringing the audience along on an Arabian night

Exhibition of old and new

A NEW art exhibition is coming to Deane.

The Kings Head on Junction Road will host work by Lindsay Fishwick from tomorrow at 4pm to 7pm.

The art will be displayed until February 1st.

The artist will be at The Kings Head for the opening weekend, giving visitors a chance to chat about the work.

The exhibition will include new work, as well as old sketches from when art was just a hobby for Ms Fishwick.
