OUR little angels and shepherds story in Looking Back before Christmas sparked memories for reader, Virginia Ruotolo.

Virginia, now aged 58, is far right, third row from the back on the picture, which was taken at St Peter and Paul Primary School.

Virginia's daughter Sabrina Parkinson called to tell us that her mother, then called Virginia Szczyrba, had recognised herself with her short brown hair and headband in the picture above as soon as she saw it.

Now she also has a son, Alfonso, and a grandchild, Grace Parkinson, aged four.

Virginia, of Hulton Lane, grew up to become an accountant at Warburton's Bakery.
