Church Lane in Prestwich
POLICE have issued an appeal after a young woman was grabbed by a hooded man appearing from an alleyway in Prestwich.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking along Church Lane at about 5.50pm on Thursday when the man emerged and grabbed her from behind.
He attempted to pull her towards him, but she managed to escape and ran home.
A police investigation is underway and officers are urging anyone with information to contact them.
A GMP spokesman added: "Police were called shortly after 5:50pm on Thursday to reports that a woman had been grabbed by a man on Church Lane after he emerged from an alleyway.
"The woman managed to escape and ran home."
