A FORMER pub where police once discovered a £200,000 cannabis farm could be turned into a bedsit.
Plans have been submitted to Blackburn with Darwen Council proposing to convert the old Hindle Arms in Rakes Bridge, Blackburn, into an eight-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO).
The pub closed in 2012 and was raided by police in December 2015 - since when it was been boarded up and unoccupied.
A design and access statement submitted as part of the appplication reads: "It is my intention as a developer to follow good practice in all respects, and will consider how best to use my full range of powers to ensure that the property will provide a high standard of accommodation and neither undermines community cohesion or neighbourhood sustainability."
