POLICE seized a vehicle from a driver with no insurance which was overweight and had under-inflated tyres.
The car, a blue Peugeot 501, was this morning in Castle Street, the Haulgh.
After investigating the vehicle, police discovered the weight and tyre issues, as well as noticing a lack of insurance and that the driver was a provisional license holder.
In a tweet about the driver, one officer said: "He then reminded me that I took a car off him the other week too."
The man was reported to court. Owners of cars seized by the police have to pay a 'release fee' of up to £200, plus £20 for each day it is impounded.
