The Courthouse, Mawdsley Street, Bolton

The former Harvey’s Café Bar, in Mawdsley Street, reopened as The Courthouse following a big money refurbishment earlier this month. It specialises in cocktails and promises a unique dining experience in the heart Bolton. Perfect for a Christmas tipple!

Courtyard 36, St George's Road, Bolton

This new bar housed in the landmark Little Bolton Town Hall building had its grand opening earlier this month.

The venue offers ‘handpicked’ wine, home-made infused spirits, craft beers, and cocktails - including some specifically inspired by and tailored to the town.

The Nook & Cranny, Darwen Rd, Bolton

This micropub in Bromley Cross is a must for real ale lovers.

Run by mates James Martin and Craig Egan, the former-florist-shop-come-bar at the shopping parade in Darwen Road promises beer fans a 'boutique experience' and offers a wide collection of beers.

The Pack Horse, Watling Street, Affetside

This cosy, traditional pub with open fires and wooden beams is perfect for a Christmas drink with friends.

They do great grub too and have a two or three course Christmas Fayre menu available throughout December, as well as a special four course Christmas Day menu.

The Thomas Egerton, Blackburn Road, Egerton

This traditional boozer is a an ideal finishing point for a pint after a winter walk in the West Pennine Moors.

There is an extensive range of cask conditioned beers, guest beers, lagers and ciders as well as fine wines and spirits. A great spot out of town.
