BLACKBURN'S Camilla Ainsworth has made it to the last two in reality TV show The Apprentice.

The 22-year-old was picked by Lord Alan Sugar for the final alongside fellow candidate Sian Gabbidon in Wednesday's episode.

The pair, armed with their business plans, will go head to head in the final of the series, to be shown on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Broadcast of the show was thrown into doubt by the confidence vote in the Prime Minister.

But it went ahead just after 9pm – straight after PM Theresa May survived being fired by her own party.

Camilla and Sian have fought off fierce competition over the past 11 weeks to prove they are both deserved finalists. But now just one task stands between them and a £250,000 investment from business mogul Lord Sugar.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph about her experience thus far, Camilla said it had been a whirlwind to watch the whole series back on screen. She said: “To make it so far in the competition has been a real achievement, but I would be lying if I said I haven’t watched some of the show hiding behind a pillow.

Lancashire Telegraph:

“It has been incredibly interesting to see the way people have responded. There is a lot of exposure with being in the public eye and people can be very critical. But I have focused on myself and my goals, which have always been to make it as far in the process as I possibly can.”

In last night’s episode, viewers were treated to arguably the most brutal show in the series, where the final five candidates presented their business plans to a panel of Lord Sugar’s most trusted advisors.

Camilla’s plan, which outlines her goals to expand her nut milk business, received a mix of both praise and criticism from the panel, including one remark from businesswoman Linda Plant, who said: “I’m not going to say that your idea isn’t good but you are a long way from making it to the supermarkets.”

After the interviews, Lord Sugar spoke in the boardroom, saying: “Camilla, you are unusual in the sense that you haven’t been in business long, just three months.

“It might be a great idea but it’s a big risk for me.”

Speaking after leaving the board room, the law graduate said: “That was brutal. I thought I was a gonner.

“This will change on of our lives.”

Familiar faces are set to return to BBC One on Sunday night at 9pm as all the candidates from this series come back to help the final two convince Lord Sugar who should be his next business partner.
