A GANG OF ELVES welcomed young visitors to Bolton on Saturday.

Elves in pyjamas brought their 'Sleeps til Santa' slumber party to Crompton Place, complete with a festive soundtrack.

Santa's helpers, Clementine and Peppermint, entertained the kiddie customers with winter tales, crafts and games as December 25 is just around the corner.

Children got to work on their very own pillowcase designs to help them sleep soundly before the big day.

Families were also treated to a festive hide and seek, tracking down reindeers across the shops to win a gift from Father Christmas himself.

The manager of Crompton Place, Paula Wood said: "Sleeps til Santa is a great two-day event for children and their families to get swept away with the magic and wonder of the festive season.

"“We are delighted to be offering additional entertainment while our shoppers get ready for their own celebrations."

The elves will return again on Saturday this week from 11am until 4pm to continue the countdown.

The event is free to attend and will take place in the unit between Select and Beaverbrooks.
