A GIANT reindeer is taking centre spotlight in a festive display in aid of Bolton Hospice.

The 15ft Rudolph and matching 12ft sleigh is lighting up Grange Road in Bromley Cross where Johnny and Helen Kennair have been running a spectacular light show for years.

The display raises money in memory of Mrs Kennair’s mum, June Wall.

Kathryn Willett, community fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Christmas is a very special time of year for most people, especially to those who may be spending it in the hospice or receiving treatment from our Hospice at Home team.

“Every single pound raised in support of us means we can continue to provide this expert care, as well as support their family members.

The display has so far raised over £2500.

Kathryn added: “We would encourage people to take your children to marvel at the display, and please spare a bit of money to donate to a wonderful cause too.”

The Happy Voices Choir performed at the switch-on.
