BOLTON Town Hall will look like you've never seen it before when it's lit up as part of a spectacular light show this weekend.

The display will be projected onto the town hall tonight and tomorrow as part of Bolton Light Festival, a series of light-themed performances which are taking place across the town.

The event marks the 21st anniversary of Bolton at Home’s Percent for Art initiative which has championed arts and creativity in the borough.

Bolton Council Leader Cllr Linda Thomas said: “The festival is a great opportunity for everyone across Bolton to explore their creative side and get involved with the arts.”

The lighting of the town hall takes place from 5pm in Victoria Square on Friday and Saturday evening.

Events have been taking place since October 21. This week, Bolton Library and Museum staged Light Night Code Breakers, where families were invited into the building to try and solve a series of puzzles using light, imagination and codebreaking skills to find the answers. The event is also being held on Saturday from 6pm.
