EMERGENCY services were called to a main road after a car overturned.
The incident happened in Higher Market Street, Farnworth, just after 3pm leading to part of the road being cordoned off.
The road from Frederick Street to Longcauseway was closed for a short time before the carriageway was cleared, allowing cars can now pass the scene, although there are still delays in the area.
Police said they had received no reports of any serious injuries.
It is not yet clear how many vehicles were involved in the incident.
Ambulance also attended.
