MORE than £450 of cigarettes were stolen from a shop in Blackburn.

Police are appealing for information after the burglary at Bargain Booze on Livesey Branch Road on Wednesday at 10pm.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We received a call just after 10pm reporting a male had entered the storeand asked the shop assistant for a number of cigarettes.

"Whilst the staff member’s back was turned, a man reached over the counter and took a bag containing a range of tobacco products valued at over £450.

"The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5,8” tall and of medium build.

"He had dark hair which was wavy at the front.

"He was wearing a navy blue sweatshirt with a white logo on the front and a sleeveless high visibility jacket over the top."

The man ran from the shop in the direction of McDonalds.
