A PARTY with dance, food and fireworks took place to celebrate Diwali over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 10, the Indian Community of Salisbury (ICS) hosted an evening of entertainment and Indian treats to commemorate the festival of light.
A raffle, bollywood workshop and Diwali disco were just some of the activities that took place on the day, held at Sarum Academy.
MP John Glen, who joined the festivities, said the “spectacular Diwali celebration” was a “great privilege to attend”, adding: “The captivating dance performances were accompanied by excellent food and warm hospitality for many visitors. Salisbury’s Indian community has a lot to take pride in.”
