A MAN arrested by police who thought he had been involved in a drugs deal was found to have 116 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine.
Blackburn magistrates heard the drugs had a street value of £3,600 and Quader Ali also had £295 cash in his possession.
Ali, 22, of Granville Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply and acquiring criminal property, the cash. He was committed in custody to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced.
Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said police witnessed a drug transaction in Queen Victoria Road, Burnley, and Ali was arrested as he left the scene in a taxi.
Ahsan Ali, 22, of Devonshire Road, Burnley, appeared with Qader Ali. He gave no indication of plea to charges of being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court where both men will appear on December 6.
