A LAMP post has been damaged after being set on fire in Breightmet.
Fire crews were called to Rochester Avenue at around 7.15pm and found that the lamp post's cover had been ripped off and the electrical components inside burnt out.
The blaze has damaged the post and left it inoperable, and fire crews have informed Bolton Council.
It is believed that the fire was started deliberately by youths.
