BURNLEY Football Club's Turf Moor ground was the venue for a conference on improving end of life care.
More than 100 health and social care workers discussed issues such as safeguarding, falls management, dementia care, nutrition, mindfulness, and oral hygiene.
The audience at the event, organised by Pendleside and Rossendale hospices, included care home staff, district nurses, nurse practitioners.
The event, to coincide with Hospice Care Week, was supported by Burnley Football Club In The Community who provided the stadium's facilities.
Pendleside Hospice's chief executive Helen McVey said: “As hospices we are very passionate about ensuring that people get the best end-of-life care possible.
"We have gained significant experience in palliative care over the years and we recognise the importance of sharing this experience with others.”
Delegate Emma Wade from Nelson's Marsden Grange Home for The Elderly, said: “I found the dementia and nutrition sessions particularly informative.”
