A WOMAN who had been out of trouble for six years returned to crime after slipping back into the clutches of heroin.

Blackburn magistrates heard Shelly Morrison relapsed into drug abuse after finding herself in an abusive relationship.

Morrison, 41, of Comrie Crescent, Burnley, pleaded guilty to two offences of stealing fragrances from Superdrug. She was given a community order for three months with a three months drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £59 ocmpensation.

Nick Dearing, defending, said Morrison had now ended the relationship and was trying to rebuild her life.

"At the time of the offence in July she was still using street drugs but she has tested negative for illegal drugs in recent weeks," said Mr Dearing.
