A YOUNG Bolton model has taken to the catwalk at one of the world's most prestigious fashion events.

Chloe Nuttall-Slater, aged just 11, from Morris Green, appeared alongside some of the industries biggest names at last week's London Fashion Week.

The youngster has been modelling since the age of two, when her mum Elaine took her to her first photoshoot, and has since worked on behalf of Littlewoods, Argos and Peacocks.

However, last week's event was one of her biggest moments, with fashion icons such as Victoria Beckham, Kendall Jenner and Alexa Chung appearing throughout the week.

Chloe, a pupil at St James' High School, Farnworth, said she had been nervous about appearing on such a big stage but that she really enjoyed the experience.

She explained: "I was nervous but I was also really excited. It's my first time doing a big catwalk. Modelling is something I've always enjoyed doing so I really liked being at fashion week."

Chloe and her mum were also able to go to last year's London Fashion Week, but this was the first time the she was able to appear on one of the biggest catwalks in the industry.

Elaine said the event had made her "very proud" of her daughter

She added: "I'm just so proud, I wonder how she got the confidence because I wouldn't be able to do it in front of the photographers.

"It's nice to be there with people you know and friends who also enjoy the experience. She gets around 10 days off school a year to do modelling, as long as she has good attendance, and we usually have to apply to the council for it.

"It's no different to any other hobby. It's fun and enjoyable and I think we both like it."

Chloe has done paid modelling work in the past, as well as working as an extra in the CBBC show All at Sea. However, for the Fashion Week catwalk the family paid a 'garment fee' for the clothes she wore, which were fitted for her on behalf of bespoke designer, ME Clothing.
