It will get you a one-bed flat in central London, or a veritable mansion Bolton.

But having a million pounds to spend on a home is not quite as rare as it used to be, according to latest figures.

Figures show a whopping 26 homes currently on the market for more than £1m in Bolton ranging from a seven bedroom mansion with a pool for more than £2m to a four-bed home with its own lake.
