TRAFFIC is still moving slowly after police moving a broken-down campervan stopped cars in all lanes this morning.
The issue began at around 7.30am and Highways England closed two lanes on the motorway, travelling anti-clockwise near junctions 15 and 16, effecting Bolton, Wigan, Salford and Kearsley.
It is thought to be causing delays back to junction 18.
North West Motorway Police were called to the scene and traffic in all four lanes was stopped to allow officers to deal with the van.
In a tweet, Highways England said: "Vehicle removed to the hard shoulder for recovery and all lanes open again #M60 anti-clockwise between J16 and J15 #Greatermanchester.
"Traffic flowing with a slight delay. Have a safe journey."
