A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital after being knocked off his bike.

Police said the 14-year-old boy suffered leg and ankle injuries after his bike collided with a Vauxhall Astra in Marsden Road, Burnley, at 9.35pm yesterday.

He was taken to Manchester Children's Hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police closed Marsden Road at the junction with Underley Street while accident investigation work was carried out.
