TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of child exploitation and possession of indecent images as part of a continuing investigation into CSE in Bury.

The arrests of the men, aged 21 and 24, brings the total arrested through the multi-agency operation to 21.

Led by Greater Manchester Police's CSE and Operation Burgos Teams in Bury, the operation has been working since June 2017 to identify child sexual exploitation offences and provide specialist support to victims.

The two men remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Sergeant Cheryl Morrell of GMP’s Bury borough, said: “Thanks to the extensive work of all the people involved in this complex investigation, today we have been able to take positive action against CSE in Bury.

“As a partnership, we continue to work closely with the victims of these offences, ensuring they have all the support they need.

“Our investigation into those who target vulnerable children will not stop here, as we work tirelessly to identify who those offenders are.
