MAGISTRATES have ordered Thomas Blacklock, age 18, of Heys Road, Prestwich, to be bound over to keep the peace for six months or pay £100.

In court Blacklock admitted breaching the peace on July 3.

A MAN who wrongly used a disabled person's blue badge has been fined £296 by Manchester magistrates.

The case against Martin Grosvenor, of Johnson Street, Radcliffe, was proved in his absence.

The court heard that a Hyundai car was parked in a pay and display bay at Ridgefield, Manchester on December 20.

Grosvenor was also ordered to pay £128.58 in costs and charges.

A FINE of £230 has been imposed on a man who was caught in possession of cocaine in Bury on April 20.

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Valdez Brown, aged 21, of Hazel Avenue, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

He was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A DRIVER who stole a car and drove it without a licence or insurance in Eight Acre, Whitefield, has been sentenced to do 120 hours unpaid work.

Manchester magistrates heard how the Mercedes C180 was involved in a collision with a Toyota Yaris on May 23.

Michael Gaud, aged 33, of Walker Avenue, Whitefield, pleaded guilty to committing the offences and also admitted assaulting a police officer and failing, without reasonable excuse, to provide a breath sample.

He was ordered to pay a total of £1,000 in compensation and was banned from holding a driving licence for three years.

A SHOPLIFTER who stole alcohol worth £12 from a Bury store has been ordered to have treatment for alcohol addiction for six months.

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Michael O'Brien, aged 45, of Woodman Drive, Bury, pleaded guilty to taking the drink from McColls on June 6. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and using threatening behaviour.

O'Brien was also ordered to participate in 15 days of rehabilitation activities, pay £75 in compensation and pay £170 in costs and charges.
