A TOWN centre fashion retailer is cracking out the champagne after being nominated for two national awards.

OD’s Designer Clothing on Claughton Street has been shortlisted for two gongs at The Drapers Independent Awards, aimed at recognising the most influential and top-performing independent designer clothing retailers.

The first is the Multichannel Independent Retailer of the Year, recognising excellence within a well-designed website which is easy to use and frequently updated with relevant and interesting content as well as well as having a strong social media presence.

The other is the Kidswear Independent Retailer of the Year aimed at celebrating independent retailers who serve the kidswear market with an edit of popular brands both in-store and online.

The brands junior clothing section was first introduced in 2010 and they has proved to be a great success; so much so that, in 2016, they launched a stand alone store.

Chris O’Dea, owner of OD’s Designer Clothing said: “Customer service is at the forefront of everything we do here at OD’s and, since we first opened our doors in 1992, we have been committed to providing the best possible designer retail experience for our valued customers.

“We always strive to improve our services and go that extra mile and, as a result, our customers have stayed loyal to us.

“We’d, therefore, like to thank you for your continued support and join us in saying cheers, here’s to being nominated for these two fantastic awards.”

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on September 12.
