FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected arson at an empty bookmakers on Saturday night.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the report at 11pm on Saturday, June 21 that there was a small fire which caused damage to the front door of William Hill on Jubits Lane, Sutton Manor as well as part of the ceiling inside.
A joint investigation was launched with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and it is suspected the fire was started deliberately.
House to house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
