HERO Kieran Tripper said he is taking the positives from the World Cup.
Kieran's goal in the fifth minute of the England vs Croatia semi-final on Wednesday night left the crowds stunned.
The Bury-born right-back, who also plays for Tottenham Hotspur, attended Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom.
After the match, Trippier, who is from Summerseat, Tweeted: "Last night hurt and will for a while but we must take positives from the last few weeks and look forward to the future.
"What a great set of England teammates and staff, it's been a journey we can be proud of.
"Thank you to all the fans out here and back home for your support."
