AN entire field will be turned into a viewing platform as one pub pulls out all the stops for tonight's big game.

In a first for Bar 1 in Radcliffe, the pub will host an outdoor screening as England go head-to-head with Croatia for their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.

A real ale American brewery — Brooklyn Brewery — has also been called in to serve hotdogs, burgers and drink for fans.

Visitors to the venue in Stand Lane are invited to bring their own camp chairs and picnic rugs to enjoy the game.

Regular Claire Turrell, who is also on the Bar 1 committee, said: "Throughout the World Cup, the venue has shown the matches on four indoor screens, a projector screen, and three outdoor screens in its beer garden.

"But tonight, there will be two large projector screens on the field.

"We've also got flags and bunting up.

"Everyone is welcome. There will be benches for people to sit on, or they can bring their own camping chairs and blankets.

"Owner Paul Green and his son Nathaniel Green have also organised for staff to wait on viewers so no one need miss a second of the match.

"There will also be a beer hamper raffle up for grabs with the money being raised for the local community and for The Christie Hospital."

The game, which takes place at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, will be aired on ITV at 7pm.
