A TEENAGE busker has recorded her own inspiring football song ahead of England's crucial World Cup semi-final clash with Croatia tonight.

Lauren Scholfield, 13, from Clitheroe, has released a video of her performing 'England song', inspired by chart topping singer, songwriter George Ezra, on Youtube.

The Bowland High School pupil performs different songs, from George Ezra and James Blunt to Amy Winehouse, and has taken to the stage in several talent competitions, including in front of large crowds at Clitheroe's The Grand.

Lauren's parents David and Anna, along with her younger sister, Emma, have been supporting the aspiring singer, songwriter and hope her latest effort will inspire The Three Lions tonight.

Family friend Krish Singh, 50, from Great Harwood, has known David and Anna for 20 years and described Lauren as a 'talented singer'.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr Singh said: "I have known Lauren since she was five-years-old and she has always been good at singing.

"She is a talented young writer and destined for great things."
