MUSICIANS will provide the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful weather this weekend.

Bolton Symphony Orchestra will be staging its concert Summer Masterpieces on Saturday, featuring Smetena from Bohemia's Woods and Fields, Grieg, Piano Concerto in A minor Op 16 , Dvorak, Symphony No. 8 in G major Op.88.

Andrew Morley, publicity officer for Bolton Symphony Orchestra, said: "We’ve got another super programme lined up including the famous Grieg Piano Concerto – the one which Eric Morecambe famously played all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

"I’m sure that our soloist, the Georgia based pianist, Ketevan Ward, will be playing all the right notes and in the right order.

"We’re also playing the popular Dvorak Symphony Number 8 and Smetana’s ‘From Bohemia’s Woods and Fields."

The concert takes place at the Victoria Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 and under-19s are free.
