IT was showtime for three members of the 'Delphillians" who took to the stage as the Diddymen.

Anne Knowles, Aileen Brown and Muriel Ainsworth sang the Diddymen song, made famous by the late Sir Ken Dodd, for their 1990 Showtime production.

They are pictured in rehearsal for the big opening.

The event held at the Delph Hill Methodist school hall also featured the Bolton Barbershop Chorus.

The Diddymen included Dicky Mint, Sid Short, Nigel Ponsonby-Smallpiece and Mick the Marmaliser.

They were immortalised in The Song of the Diddymen by the Liverpudlian comedian.
