ROAD users are being urged to take extra care and check weather forecasts tomorrow (June 14) with treacherous conditions predicted.
The Met Office has forecast strong winds in the North West today and as a result Highways England has issued a Severe Weather Alert for users of high-sided vehicles, caravans and motorbikes.
Drivers of such vehicles are advised to take extra care when travelling due to an increased risk of them blowing over.
Motorists are also advised to plan ahead for their journeys, leave extra time if travel conditions are poor, and delay their journey if the weather becomes severe.
