Danny Graham says his Rovers switch has reinvigorated his passion for the game after a difficult spell with Sunderland.

The 32-year-old signed a one year contract extension at Rovers this week and will take his spell at Ewood Park in to a fourth season.

Graham moved to the Stadium of Light for £5million in January 2013 after an impressive goal return during his time with Swansea City but was farmed out on loan four times, including a spell with Rovers in 2015/16.

He signed permanently that summer, and after netting just once for the Black Cats in a barren spell on Wearside, goals have been much more regular during his time in East Lancashire.

Seventeen last season added to his 12 in 2016/17 and seven while on loan to mean the striker has celebrated 36 goals in a 106 outings.

And as he prepares for life back in the Championship with Rovers, he wants the good times to continue on both a personal and club level.

He told the club website: “We need to keep those good times in our thoughts as we head into the new season.

"Everyone is on a high and hopefully we can go into the season stronger than last year, fitter than last year and more together than last year.

“We need to keep those good times in our thoughts as we head into the new season."

“It’s been a very good time for me here. I had a couple of years at Sunderland where things didn’t work for me but at Blackburn Rovers it’s been a constant positive both on and off the pitch. I’m thrilled that is going to continue.

“There were times at Sunderland where you probably didn’t want to go into training but here I cannot wait for pre-season to come around and get the work underway, which is credit to everyone at the club for doing that for me.”
