Rovers boss Mowbray believes a level of expectation from the stands can bring out the best in his players.
Mowbray is encouraging the club's supporters to play their part again next season having been praised for their impact by manager and players alike in 2017/18.
Rovers were heavy favourites for promotion last season, and although less fancied to be among the higher reaches of the table next season, Mowbray says the fans should still be demanding of his side.
“Our supporters are so important for this football club,” he told the club website.
“The team grew into the club after the early season pressure and reacted to the demands and expectations.
“Those expectations will remain the same and I want the fans to apply that pressure to the players again as the supporters see Rovers as a Premier League club.
“It’s important they come along to support the team.
“We will have players who know what it means to play for this club and together, and with the supporters, we can create that winning formula.
“I hope they enjoyed last season and let’s see if we can keep that momentum going. Hopefully season ticket sales go well and we can keep things moving. We hugely need our supporters.”
