Craig Conway is close to signing a new one-year deal with Rovers, the Lancashire Telegraph understands.

The 33-year-old has been in talks with Rovers for the last month having been offered a new contract to extend his stay at Ewood Park in to a fifth season.

Danny Graham became the first player to commit his future to the club on Monday, with Conway set to follow suit.

Injury restricted Conway to just 28 appearances last season as Rovers secured promotion back to the Championship.

The winger, who signed from Cardiff City in 2014, has played 174 times for the club but sees his deal expire at the end of the month.

However, Conway is keen to stay in East Lancashire and a new deal is understood to be close.
