IT is not just Burnley and England goalkeeping pair Nick Pope and Tom Heaton on international duty.

The Clarets saw four more of their players in action over the weekend.

Three Turf men started for the Republic of Ireland in their 2-1 win over the USA in Dublin.

Kevin Long and Jon Walters played the full 90 minutes while Jeff Hendrick was substituted seven minutes from time as goals from Graham Burke and a last minute Alan Judge winner saw Martin O'Neill's side come from behind after Bobby Wood had given the visitors the lead.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson was also in action, playing 90 minutes for Iceland as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Norway.

The Clarets winger is in his country's squad for the World Cup, where they face Argentina, Nigeria and Croatia, but before then Iceland have another friendly when they entertain Ghana on Thursday (9pm).
