SAM Vokes won his 59th cap for Wales in their goalless draw with Mexico.

The Burnley striker played the first half of the game in the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Clarets colleagues Kevin Long and Jonathan Walters both started for the Republic of Ireland as they lost 2-0 to France in Paris on Monday night.

Long won his sixth cap as he played 80 minutes against Didier Deschamps' side, while Walters lasted 59 minutes.

Ireland are in action again on Saturday as they face the United States in Dublin.
