A YELLOW weather warning has been issued across part of East Lancashire by the Met Office.
Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly with heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted throughout the night tonight.
Electricity North West are also warning there could be power issues.
The warning, which is in place between midnight tonight and six in the morning, also cites fast flowing or deep floodwater as a potential danger.

Despite the bad weather expected overnight, blue skies are set to return tomorrow with temperatures of up to 23 degrees predicted for the bank holiday.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are moving up from the south this evening and overnight.
"These will gradually ease during the early hours, with perhaps a few isolated ones still around, but generally becoming mostly dry and cloudy.
"It will be a cloudy start for some this Bank Holiday Monday, but soon brightening up through the morning with some good spells of sunshine.
"It's set to be a very warm and humid day for many."
