DANCE pupils are jumping for joy – celebrating top exam results.

Students at the Linda Janette School of Dancing, based at Prestwich Methodist Church, have achieved a 100 per cent pass rate pass rate in their recent ballet examinations.

The 29 children and students age 6 years upwards performed barre work, centre exercises and steps from other countries for their prestigious Royal Academy of Dance exams.

The Royal Academy of Dance is the largest and most influential examination board in the ballet world.

Teacher Linda Janette said she was delighted with their efforts.

She said: "I am so proud of all of them. They have passed Primary up to the challenging student Grade 7 level, with many gaining distinctions – the highest mark awarded.

“They have worked so hard and they are all amazing dancers.”
