A POTENTIAL kidnapping is being investigated after a man was seen being bundled into the back of a car.

Police have described the incident as 'unusual' and are appealing for information into the incident.

Officers were called to reports of a kidnapping in Regent Road, Lostock, at around 8.45pm on Tuesday, November 27.

The person who made the report told police she had just seen a man being bundled into the back of a car.

She saw two men, who are described as white, in their late teens and the driver was wearing a black jacket.

The car is described as a small, light coloured car with black print or writing on the bonnet.

Greater Manchester Police are now working to establish who the victim is and who the offenders are and have also stepped up patrols in the area to reassure residents.

Detective Inspector Stephanie Parker of GMP’s Bolton borough, said: “Clearly this is a very unusual incident, in which we are working to establish who the victim is and also, who the offenders are.

“We believe this to have been an isolated incident but have stepped up patrols in the area as a precaution, we’d ask anyone with concerns to raise these with the officers directly.

“If you saw a white car around Lostock in the evening of Tuesday 28 November 2017, or saw anything that could help us identify who the people involved in this incident are, please get in touch.”
