SWINDON Town have been linked with a move for Coventry City goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook on transfer deadline day.

The Coventry Telegraph are reporting this morning that the 23-year-old looks set for a move to the County Ground on loan.

Despite making 22 appearances last season for the Sky Blues, he has fallen down the pecking order at the Ricoh Arena, with the arrival of Liam O'Brien this summer.

Lee Burge is also ahead of him at the moment in the matchday squad, with Charles-Cook said to be looking to improve his chances of playing first team football.

Current Town stopper Lawrence Vigouroux has long been the subject of rumours linking him away from the County Ground this summer, however, after the Morecambe game, Swindon manager David Flitcroft said that he was confident of keeping hold of the 23-year-old.

“I don’t think so, no,” added Flitcroft, when asked if it will be battle to keep hold of the former Liverpool stopper.

“The chairman wants to keep him, he wants to be successful this season, I do and we’ll just keep moving forward.

“It’s important (that we keep Vigouroux) but it’s important that I keep all the players here.

“We’re trying to build something and it’s important that we keep hold of players.

“Lawrence is no different from any player, I don’t treat him any different from any of the other players, it’s a team performance and I’ll always look towards that.”
