A POWER cut left more than a thousand homes in Bolton in the dark last night.
Electricity North West (ENW) said an underground cable fault was responsible for the outage which affected 1,407 customers in the Halliwell area.
The power went off at 9.26pm and was restored to the majority of customers at 10pm.
The final 145 customers were restored at 1am.
A spokesperson for ENW said the engineers were quickly on scene to rectify the problem and the apologised for any inconvenience caused by the cut.
