WELL I think it’s fair to say we ruffled a few feathers – physically and metaphorically – at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

And you know what? I love it!

Chelsea probably expected us to be brave but ultimately roll over and hand them the three points on a silver platter.

But we had other ideas and I actually think we were unlucky not to get all three points.

It was another battling performance but Jose Mourinho said the whole game could be boiled down to just four moments – minutes 30, 33, 43 and 69.

Let’s look at them then.

Minute 30 – an aerial battle between Ashley Barnes and Branislav Ivanovic on the far touchline which does look worse than I think it is. Barnes does lead with a leg and catch the Serbian but he seemed to be up pretty quickly given he was rolling around in a screaming heap just seconds earlier. Definite free kick and possibly a booking.

Minute 33 – Ivanovic involved again, this time his shot hits Michael Kightly’s arm. I think this is the one incident we were perhaps lucky to get away with. Kightly’s arm is in an unnatural position, it’s probably a penalty.

Minute 43 – another penalty shout, for a Jason Shackell push on Diego Costa. There was some contact but Costagoes down too easily.

Minute 69 – the Barnes ‘challenge’, except it wasn’t really a challenge. Barnes had the ball, played the ball and then the follow-through motion caught Nemanja Matic very badly. The slow motion replays make it look like a horror tackle but looking at the incident as a whole, you can see that Barnes has not set out to ‘do’ Matic.

Cue a whole host of ex-professionals lining up to take shots at us.

It was great to see Ben Mee head home the equaliser.

A point in any game is a great point. Getting it at Stamford Bridge and irritating Mourinho is even better.
