Holocaust victims were remembered in Nelson by crowds who gathered at the town's war memorial.
Residents lit candles and laid flowers in remembrance of the millions of Jews and other minority group members killed by the Nazi regime during the Second World War.
Victims of other conflicts were also remembered, ahead of the national memorial day which will be marked across the country today.
