A VALLEY man has been hailed a success story by discount supermarket chain Aldi.
Paul Madden, from Haslingden, joined the company's graduate recruitment scheme in April 2005 after completing his degree at the University of Leeds.
Inspired by the retail chain's early opportunity for leadership and responsibility, the 23-year-old was impressed with Aldi's growing profile and climbing position in the annual Times Top 100 graduate employers survey.
After starting his training on the shop floor, Paul shadowed area managers before being given his first "area" and taking overall responsibility for the stores in Mold, Chester, Wrexham and Oswestry.
Paul said: "The graduate package is stimulating, challenging and highly rewarding, and the training received is second-to-none and really gives you a solid grounding."
