A fire crew from Burnley was called to Padiham Dental Surgery after an electrical fault caused a cable box to begin to smoulder.
The crew attended the Burnley Road surgery at 4pm on Thursday and isolated the area around the fault, which was then worked on by United Utilities staff.
Slight damage was caused to the electrical box.
