ONE of the best loved bands of the '80s, China Crisis, will return for a rare and intimate tour to celebrate 25 years since their first single, African and White, hit the airwaves.

Formed in Liverpool in 1979, duo Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon rose to fame with intelligent, melodic slices of pop such as Black Man Ray, King In A Catholic Style (Wake Up) and Wishful Thinking.

This year they are due to release a ynew DVD filmed in their home town at Paul McCartney's LIPA Auditorium.

With interest in the music of the '80s increasing dramatically there have been calls for the band to get back together and tour again so they have answered the landslide of requests and done so.

China Crisis play Burnley Mechanics on Tuesday, January 30 and tickets are already selling fast. Call box office on 01282 664400.
