Acoustic Ladyland, Winners of the BBC Jazz Award (2005) are pretty far out, proving that jazz isn't all about beard-stroking men saying "nice!" a lot.

Saltwater is four minutes of frantic screeching, sax, drums, double bass and synths - the latter of which adds to the entirely misleading band name.

There's an obligatory meltdown in the middle, and the Seb Roachford remix is frankly a little too Eraserhead-style psychosis-inducing, but this is stomping party music: chin-strokers beware.
