You can be forgiven for never having heard of Adjagas, because even in their native Norway they've only sold 6,000 records.
Adjagas are a Sami band (also known as Laplanders) - and their music is haunting, dreamlike mixture of traditional Sami music - joik - with folk and some modern production methods.
Sonically the vocal intonation resembles Native American chanting, so the instrumental flipside will be a lot easier on the ear for most of us.
World music fans should definitely track this one down. Everyone else should probably steer clear.
