Anyone expecting a traditional sweet solo female singer-songwriter should pay heed to this EP's title...
Rose Kemp has a rich, alluring voice, but her attitude, lyrics and music are more bitter than sweet.
Violence starts out quietly, meandering in an interesting enough manner, but when it kicks in with heavy guitar backing it's a wallop to your expectations: this lady requires your attention, and the delicate passages deserve another listen.
Morning Music has a pretty guitar part, but the mood is more sombre than the title suggests, whilst Tiny Flower is some sort of multi-layered a cappella experiment, which though barely listenable does show that Kemp has big ideas.
